Cruise Route Information

The Inner Harbor Spirit travels along the beautiful Patapsco, traveling past a great variety of historic sights, featuring:

Maryland Science Center - the state’s major source of informal science, technology and math education.

Federal Hill - where the federal constitution was ratified.

Pride Mast MemorialPride Mast Memorial - from the original Pride of Baltimore, which sank in a freak squall in 1986. Serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for the City of Baltimore and has been replaced by the Pride of Baltimore II. The modern hospital ship, the USS Comfort, docks in Baltimore and was most recently deployed in the latest Iraqi War.

Ft. Mc Henry - a late 18th century star-shaped fort, known as the birthplace of the “Star Spangled Banner.” Stood as the guardian of Baltimore’s harbor against the British attack during the War of 1812.

Francis Scott Key BridgeFrancis Scott Key Bridge – named after Francis Scott Key who wrote our National Anthem.

John W. Brown - 1 of the 2 remaining Liberty Ships. They were used mostly to take cargo and materials to Europe during World War II.

Canton - the original home to many of Baltimore’s earliest industries, such as Stodder’s Shipyard, which built the U.S. Frigate Constellation, the American smelting and Refining Company, the American Can Company, Tin-Decorating Company, and other iron work companies, mills and warehouses.

Fells Point - was and still is a hub of activity for merchants and traders.

Living Classrooms - the oldest standing brick building in Baltimore.

National AquariumNational Aquarium - holds one million gallons of water. The glass structure at the top is the tropical rain forest, which houses many tropical plants and animals. It is also the site of the Marine Mammal Pavilion, home to trained whales and dolphin shows.

Light Ship Chesapeake - was stationed at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay where it meets the Atlantic Ocean. For over 40 years, it helped to guide ships and sailors into the Bay.
